-Removed the Speech function (which was rebuilt three times but still wouldn't work right).
-Made the interface simpler and easier to understand and use. Less menus, less buttons, more quick dialogs and helper windows.
-Added new functionality into the Text E-Mailer: quick e-mail address shortcut menus and support for multiple recipients.
-Added an address book which can be used to store an unlimited amount of e-mail addresses that are frequently accessed from the Text E-Mailer. The addresses stored by the address book are listed in the Text E-Mailer in handy pop-up menus.
-Added a more detailed registration info text into the startup nag window.
-Added the ability to export text files into Stand-Alone document files.
-Moved all preference files into a "TextWorks Pref Files" subfolder in the Preferences folder.
-Added tab-like panels into the text editor for three compact accessories: The Notepad, the Calculator and the Advancd Calculator. These accessories can also be displayed in their own windows by setting this option in the Preferences.
-Removed the Initial Text feature from the Prefs window since it was causing crashes and other bugs and because very little people actually use it. The feature will most likely be reimplemented in a later release of TextWorks.
-Implemented a completely new HTML editor (created by Aleksi Strandberg). The new editor supports all of the basic features as well as professional HTML tags.
-Made the Picture Viewer a bit faster.
-Reimplemented "Show Clipboard" for quickly accessing the clipboard contents. This feature was introduced in version 1.0 but was pulled from the program in version 1.5 due to problems with the handling of the Clipboard contents.
-Reimplemented "File Info" from version 1.0 for viewing the current document's information such as creation date and type code etc. The feature, unlike in 1.0, now automatically opens the info for the current document if the document exist. In 1.0, the user was forced to manually select a file.
-Added the possibility to only remove styles from the selection using “Remove Styles” (instead of stripping the whole document from formatting).
-Replaced the Find And Replace All function with Find Next, which searches the document again (and again and again) with a string that was entered into the Find dialog earlier.
-Added improved drag support. Text can be dragged from most applications into the text window. -Improved handling of files dropped on the application icon.
Bugfixes:
-Fixed bug which would cause the date to be inserted at the bottom of the document even if the cursor was elsewhere if the date button was pressed.
-Fixed a similar bug with some of the personal info functions.
-Fixed bug which would cause the document windows to scroll to the bottom of the active document automatically.
-Fixed the slightly buggy "Revert to saved" function.
-Fixed a bug which caused the Save As-dialog to appear with the Save function even if the target file already existed.
-Fixed a bug which prevented image files other than PICTs from being opened in the Picture Viewer. The Picture Viewer now supports JPEG, GIF, PICT, PNG and TIFF and a few less popular formats.
-Fixed a bug which would leave the menu items "grayed out" (but not really disabled) after application startup.
-Loads of smaller bugfixes.

*****
1.5-August 20th, 1999
-Added searching ability within HTML files
-Added Find And Replace All
-Added a warning if an HTML file had no <HTML> tag
-Made the Save function in the HTML editor useless under unregistered copies of TW. Copying is disabled as well.

-Added an Export to HTML function which converts styled text into HTML (complete with Hex numbers, text coloring and more)
-Added an Export to RTF function for converting text into the Rich Text Format.
-Added the ability to pop-up a contextual menu anywhere in the main window, instead of just popping it up at the blank space at the bottom of the window
-Added a "Personal Info" function - users can now insert information of themselves into files with a single mouse click. The data used in this function is completely editable.
-Rebuilt the Speech menu items' handlers using Alex Metcalf's Vocalise 1.0.2 XCMD (in TextWorks 1.0 the Speak function would stop synthesizing the text to speech after four or five rows)
-Added the ability to send the body text of a text file as an email message - obviously this requires an Internet connection.
-Fixed icon bug where the document icons would show up as partially unmasked HTML icons instead of the correct, plain doc icons.
-Made the app a bit faster, especially in reading pref files
-Added an "Other" item in the color submenu of the Style menu.
-Added a Text menu with some text string-related commands.
-Fixed a bug where creating a new file from the clipboard would cause the current text file to be replaced with the clipboard text
-Fixed a bug where opening a clipping would replace the text in the current document
-Some other bugfixes and improvements.
-Upped the price from 8 USD to 10. TextWorks 1.0 licenses don't work in 1.5 because of the price change. The 1.5 license will cover also future TextWorks versions - which means the price will stay at 10 USD and that if you register 1.5, your license will work in 2.0.
